Blair
Angelo, Sue Bateson, Ian McColl, John O'Loughlin and Deb Scutcheon have
won a prestigious award
at the national ceramics conference. Their prize is
ceramic materials valued at $750.
The conference attracted delegates from as
far as Ireland, Canada, the UK, and the US. It is held every three years.
An updated version
of the Arts Academy Virtual Library has been linked from the main Library
website

Using the same Discovery format as online subject guides, the Arts Virtual
Library draws together a range of
Arts related resources including links to
library catalogues, journal article databases and Internet sites.
In conjunction with the print collections located at the SMB Library, the Arts
Virtual Library ensures that
staff and students working at the Camp St. campus
have access to relevant and up to date information to
support the needs of
their courses and programs.
LIGHTING AND SOUND STUDENTS LAUNCH CD
A group of Arts Academy Diploma of Entertainment (Lighting and Sound) students
from the SMB campus have
launched a new CD featuring some of Ballarat's
top
live bands. The CD titled Did Someone Here Say Ballarat - Vol. 2
features Sparks
Fly, Immaculata, Strawberry Hick, Glover, Fallen, Wishbone and Into the
Black
and was released at
the Bridge Mall Inn early November.
