I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ballarat.

Since 1987 my work experience involves both industry and academics - developing turnkey projects for IT industry and teaching a variety of IT courses for tertiary institutions, in India, Singapore, New Zealand, and more recently in Australia since 2007. In industry, I have been actively involved in IT consulting projects involving technology platforms such as Java / C++, JSP, ASP, .NET, Wireless XML and Oracle Wireless suites. In academics, I have been teaching various computing courses at the postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, in the areas of Database Management, Software Engineering, Object Oriented Programming, Expert Systems, IT Project Management, E-Commerce and Mobile Computing.

My doctoral research was in the area of parallel algorithms for pattern recognition. Overall, my research work involving efficient models/solutions for Information Systems fall under three main domains; namely Computational Algorithms, Enterprise Management, and Educational Management. Recently, my research supervisions have been in the areas of Mobile Usability, Biometrics, e-security and e-Government. At the University of Ballarat, I am supervising research projects within the research groups, Internet Commerce Security and Health Informatics Labs of CIAO (Centre for Informatics and Applied Optimization).
